Vehicle coordinate system

Between the driver and passenger is the origin of the vehicle’s component coordinate system. The X-axis points in the direction of travel, the Y-axis from passenger to driver and the Z-axis upwards to the roof.

The coordinates of all components and the working points of all robots refer to this vehicle coordinate system.

This has the advantage that the robots’ operating points are identical to the design data of the components.
